What TEREA is and how it works

TEREA is a heated tobacco stick made by Philip Morris International for IQOS ILUMA devices. Each stick has a stainless steel susceptor sealed inside the tobacco plug. The device heats that metal element by induction, so the tobacco warms from within instead of being burned. There is no blade, no combustion, no ash and no cleaning.

One stick gives up to 14 puffs, roughly 6 minutes of use. Because nothing burns, TEREA leaves far less lingering smell than a cigarette.

Which devices work with TEREA?

TEREA runs only on induction devices. Blade-based models take HEETS instead.

How to check your TEREA is original

Counterfeit heated tobacco does circulate in the UAE. Run these checks when your order arrives, before you open anything.

• Factory seal. The carton and all 10 packs inside should be sealed. We never open cartons or repack sticks.
• Market labelling. A Japan carton carries Japanese health warnings, an Indonesia carton carries Indonesian labelling. Packaging language should match the edition you ordered.
• Batch codes. Each pack is printed with a production code. Codes across one carton should sit in the same batch range.
• Print quality. Original packs have sharp printing with clean colour edges and no smudging around the flavor name.
• Stick fit. A genuine stick slides into an ILUMA holder without force and has a firm tobacco plug.
